Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the Sanford, NC area to perform preventive maintenance on process equipment, respond to work orders, and ensure safety compliance. You will diagnose issues, repair machinery, and may train other technicians.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum of cumulative experience performing industrial maintenance, corrective, preventive, and testing in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience utilizing CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment diagrams.
• Knowledge of hoists & cranes and electrical control circuits.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the CMMS.
• Respond to and provide service and feedback on all work orders, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Safely perform maintenance with proper PPE and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Repair and maintain production equipment; diagnose issues and implement fixes.
• May train other technicians and support overtime/weekend plant activities.
