Caterpillar Inc. in Midland, Texas, is seeking an Iron Technician I for the 2nd shift to assemble and test mechanical components.

Starting pay is $23.00 per hour with a shift premium; schedule is 10 days on, 4 off, 6 PM to 2 AM; overtime as needed; relocation assistance is not available.

Qualifications

• Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming iron starts to finish. Able to accept equipment from delivery, recertify equipment, load equipment for delivery, complete all associate paperwork, perform quality check, and manage inventory.
• Assists Iron Technicians during the disassembling phase.
• Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components.
• Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections.
• Demonstrate disassembly of flow control products per SOP.
• Identify SPM and Customer product.
• Assemble flow control products.
• Nondestructive Testing Trainee (NDT Trainee)
• Manifold tear down/rebuild trainee
• Demonstrate computer skills for the SPM AMP System
• Inventory Incoming Iron
• Provide proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area.
• Monitor daily work activities to ensure requirements are met.
• Perform other routine duties as assigned
