Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Iron Technician I in Grand Junction, CO, to assemble and test mechanical components for flow control products. The role operates onsite five days a week, with no relocation or sponsorship offered.

You will support iron technicians during disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and preparation for various inspections, while maintaining shop tools and inventory. Ideal candidates have 1–3 months of related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Assists Iron Technicians during the disassemble phase
• Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components
• Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections
• Ability to demonstrate the disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Ability to identify SPM and Customer product
• Ability to assemble flow control product
• Demonstrates computer skills for the SPM AMP System
• Requires knowledge of SPM products and customer standards
• Inventory Incoming Iron
• Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area
• Monitors daily work activities to ensure requirements are met
• Performs other routine duties as assigned

What you will do:

Monitors daily work activities to ensure requirements are met

Performs other routine duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary Pay Range:

$20.80 - $27.85
