Job summary

SPM Oil & Gas, a Caterpillar company, seeks a Field Service Technician I in Oklahoma. You will deliver, install, troubleshoot, test and repair pressure control equipment at customer sites. Entry-level with supervised tasks, requiring 1–3 months related experience and a clean driving record.

On-call 24/7 with rotating weekends; relocation and sponsorship not offered. Responsibilities include safe installation/removal, customer service, and preparing field service orders while upholding safety

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Have a clean driving record, which generally means: No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months. No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, troubleshoot, test and repair pressure control equipment on customer location
• Assist Field Service Technicians in safe installation, removal, repair and service of equipment on a drilling rig or well site
• Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers
• Maintain company assets and equipment per policy
• Prepare accurate field service and sales orders
• Promote and represent SPM Oil and Gas in field service and sales
• Adhere to Safety policies and Stop Work Authority while on site
• Must be available on 24-hour call to respond to customer needs

About the role:

SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a field service technician. The Field Service Technician I at SPM Oil & Gas will deliver, install, troubleshoot, test and repair pressure control equipment on customer location. Field Service Technician I is an entry level position with tasks that are routine and closely supervised.

Additional Information:

• Pay Starts at $21.90. Can Be Adjusted with Experience
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM - 24/7 on call, rotating weekend on-call schedule
• Overtime based on business need
• Company Service Trucks will be assigned to employees based on qualifications and business needs.
• Relocation is not offered for this position

• Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change
• Assist Field Service Technicians in safe installation, removal, repair and service of equipment on a drilling rig or well site
• Aim to provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers
• Maintain SPM Oil and Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy
• Learn to prepare accurate field service and sales orders
• Promote and represent SPM Oil and Gas in field service and sales
• Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times
• Assist in the pre-check of all equipment and processes prior to starting the job to ensure all equipment is operable and complete
• Must have the ability to perform in a team setting
• Must be available on 24-hour call to respond to customer needs
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and written
• This position will require the ability to drive a company issued vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned
  

What you will have

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
  

Work Environment:

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

• Noise Level: Moderate, occasionally severe

• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses

Summary Pay Range:

$21.90 - $29.30
