Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking experienced Iron Foremen for various locations in Mississippi. These supervisors will lead crews, uphold safety and quality standards, and coordinate daily construction activities on multi-project sites.

The ideal candidates bring eight years of construction experience, six years in craft classification, and at least two years of supervisory work. NCCER certification and proficient English reading/writing are preferred. Physical work in all weather is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years of construction experience.
• Minimum of six (6) years of craft-classified experience.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience (for external candidates).
• Formal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical, or trade school such as NCCER Certification Plus.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and plans.
• Successful completion of required safety training (Confined Space, LOTO, Working at Heights).
• Physical ability to work in all weather conditions, at varying elevations, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews on multiple projects and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily construction activities and workflows across sites.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet schedule and budget constraints.
