Job summary

Yates Construction in Mississippi is seeking a Foreman to monitor quality and safety, plan daily tasks, and direct the assigned crew on construction projects. This first-level supervisory role requires prior craft-worker experience and the ability to coordinate safely and productively.

You will supervise crews, read blueprints, track time, prepare reports, and ensure work meets standards while staying within man-hour budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years of construction experience.
• Minimum of six (6) years of craft-classified experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience for external candidates.
• Formal education in construction or trade; NCCER Certification Plus.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Level II).
• Successful completion of Yates Supervisor training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, oversees, and briefs crew on daily work to be done.
• Plans and prioritizes job tasks and supervises a crew on site.
• Ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards.
• Enforce safe practices and participate in safety training.
• Read ISO's, blueprints, and P&IDs and report progress.
• Maintain crew timesheets and prepare reports.
