Job summary

SST Direct in Nashville, TN is seeking an Ironworker Foreman for a direct hire opportunity. You will supervise and coordinate daily job-site activities, lead ironworkers, and ensure work aligns with project specs.

This role requires strong leadership, the ability to read plans, and the stamina for outdoor work and overtime. Travel to Central Tennessee and Kentucky sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Ironworker Foreman or similar leadership role.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Years of experience in ironwork/structural steel or related trade.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and communicate them clearly.
• Must be willing to work overtime and travel to Central Tennessee/Kentucky sites.
• Must pass drug screening and background checks.

Job description

Seeking an Ironworker Foreman for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Nashville, TN.

Pay: $75K - $95K (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily job-site activities, crew assignments, staffing, and work schedules
• Provide hands-on leadership and direction to ironworkers and other field personnel
• Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and adherence to established schedules
• Promote and enforce safe work practices and company safety policies at all times
• Coordinate with project management and site supervision on project planning, manpower needs, scheduling, and estimating support
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members to improve skills, productivity, and safety performance
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards
• Conduct inspections and quality checks of tools, equipment, and completed work
• Identify and address job-site issues promptly to minimize delays and maintain productivity
• Resolve employee and crew conflicts professionally and effectively
• Communicate project updates, challenges, and field conditions to management
• Maintain a professional and productive job-site environment
• Perform other duties as assigned to support successful project completion

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Ironworker Foreman, Lead Ironworker, or similar construction leadership role
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Several years of experience in ironwork, structural steel, or a related trade
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate written and verbal instructions
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to effectively coordinate crews and maintain production schedules
• Must be willing to work overtime as project demands require
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Central Tennessee and Kentucky
• Must be able to successfully complete required drug screening and background checks

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, with overtime and travel between project locations as needed. The Foreman must be capable of maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity in an active construction environment.
