Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with four years related experience.
• Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
• Master’s degree with management experience and knowledge of human research regulations preferred.
• Experience in designing/conducting educational or training programs; IRB certification preferred.
• No patient care responsibilities in this role.

Responsibilities

• Review initial human research protocol applications and amendments for risk level and regulatory compliance.
• Approve deviations and clarify special conditions as needed.
• Interpret guidance for principal investigators and staff on complex human subjects regulations.
• Plan and administer educational programs on human research protections and IRB processes.
• Develop and maintain electronic protocol submission and tracking systems; update IRB webpages and training materials.
• Develop and revise IRB policies, forms, and guidelines posted online.
• Prepare reports on IRB activities and regulatory compliance; respond to audits.
