Job summary

Qualis LLC is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer II in Colorado Springs to develop high-fidelity threat models supporting the MDA BMDS. You will create and validate data-driven models and work with a multi-disciplinary team across TASD programs.

The role requires a Secret clearance, strong Python/MATLAB skills, and robust debugging and data-analysis capabilities in a collaborative environment with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in STEM with 2 years of technical experience, or Master’s with 0–2 years.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required to start.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages.
• Foundational understanding of aerothermodynamics, radiative transfer, fluid dynamics, and molecular spectroscopy.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Data engineering and validation of large-scale datasets.
• Validate simulated data against measured test or flight data.
• Meticulous verification and validation of technical datasets.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose simulation issues; read logs and fix problems.
• Collaborate with team and meet schedules and timelines.
