Qualis LLC is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer II to develop high-fidelity threat models and simulations for MDA BMDS. You will contribute to data production, validation, and analysis across multi-disciplinary teams.

The role is onsite daily in Colorado Springs, requiring strong analytical rigor, debugging skills in Python/MATLAB/C++, and clear communication within a collaborative environment. A Secret clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 2 years of technical experience, or MS with 0-2 years’ experience
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
• Active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages
• Foundational understanding of aerothermodynamics, radiative transfer, fluid dynamics, and molecular spectroscopy
• Foundational understanding of data analysis concepts
• Basic conceptual understanding of flight dynamics and aerodynamics

Responsabilités

• Data Engineering and Validation: Handling large-scale, multi-dimensional array datasets
• Validating simulated data against measured test or flight data
• Analytical Rigor: thorough verification and validation of large, technical datasets
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Root-Cause Analysis to isolate input data, bugs, or configuration issues
• Legacy & Custom Code Debugging: reading and fixing errors in in-house tools or legacy scripts (Python, MATLAB, C++)
• Log Parsing & Error Identification: reading complex log files and stack traces
• Data Sanity and Silent Error Detection: fix silent failures that produce incorrect data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to create and work within schedules and timelines
