deciBel Research is seeking an IR Plume M&S System Engineer to support high-fidelity threat modeling for the Missile Defense Agency's Threat Systems Engineering effort at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. You will handle large datasets, validate simulations against test data, perform root-cause analysis, debug legacy code, and provide briefings to customers.

A Bachelor's in STEM, DoD Secret Clearance, and proficiency in Python/MATLAB are required; strong background in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited university.
• 2+ years with Bachelor's; 0+ with Master's.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages.
• Foundational understanding of aerothermodynamics, radiative transfer, fluid dynamics, and molecular spectroscopy.
• Current active DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Handle large-scale, multi-dimensional dataset
• Validate simulated data against test/flight data
• Verify and validate large technical datasets meticulously
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting
• Debug legacy and custom code; parse log files and identify errors
• Provide briefings to customer and stakeholders on technical solutions
