Qualifications

• Current certification or education in medical assisting; experience also considered.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a physician office, specialty clinic, hospital, or related healthcare setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Experience using electronic medical records and managing clinical communications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for the provider, including vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliation.
• Set up rooms, ensuring proper equipment, supplies, and cleanliness.
• Complete all charting requirements.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Perform follow-up calls and documentation as needed.
