Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Manager within Capital Markets Transactions to oversee IPO/SPAC readiness and execution, and related accounting projects. You will manage multiple workstreams, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality client delivery.

You will lead engagement planning, stakeholder management, and supervision of staff, while staying current on US GAAP and market trends to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience, ideally within a public accounting and/or advisory environment.
• 5+ years of experience in managing and supervising teams.
• Deep understanding of capital markets transactions (e.g., IPOs, SPACs, and other equity/debt offerings).
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background.
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-threaded projects with competing priorities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
• Strong and up-to-date technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.
• Must have one of the following certifications: CPA (in office state), CFA, CRISC, PMP or other related certification.
• You should reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required
• You can expect to co-locate on average 3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations
• Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of IPO, SPAC, and other CMT advisory engagements.
• Tackle accounting, reporting and other issues, while using cutting-edge tools and technology.
• Lead proposals, marketplace activities, and stakeholder management.
• Supervise, coach and mentor all staff levels; conduct performance reviews.
• Assist clients in preparing financial disclosures and SEC documents for IPO/ SPAC.
• Manage engagement economics, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Develop internal contacts across Deloitte businesses and strengthen client relationships.
• Stay connected to market trends and provide innovative solutions.
