Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Capital Markets Transactions - Senior Manager in the Chicago area. You will oversee IPO, SPAC and other CMT advisory engagements, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

The role emphasizes technical accounting, GAAP knowledge, and client relationship management across multiple workstreams. You will coach staff, manage budgets, and contribute to engagement strategy while collaborating with Deloitte's Assurance practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 8+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of managing and supervising teams.
• Deep understanding of capital markets transactions (IPO/SPAC).
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background.
• US GAAP knowledge and certifications (CPA/CFA/PMP or similar).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day IPO, SPAC and CMT advisory engagements.
• Lead proposals, planning, stakeholder management and milestones.
• Strengthen client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Supervise, coach and mentor staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Prepare financial disclosures and SEC-related documents.
• Manage engagement economics, budgets and resources.
