LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Director / Senior Director of Accounting & SEC Reporting to lead the company's accounting operations, technical accounting, and IPO readiness initiatives. This high-visibility role collaborates with executive leadership, external auditors, legal counsel, and cross-functional teams to build the public-company finance infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience leading accounting close and reporting functions in a complex organization.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial statements per U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee GL, AP, payroll, fixed assets, treasury, and consolidations.
• Establish scalable accounting policies, processes, and reporting frameworks.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
• Partner with FP&A, tax, legal, and ops to ensure accurate reporting.
• Lead IPO readiness workstreams and SEC disclosures (S-1, 10-K, 10-Q).
• Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls and governance.
