Job summary

Vylor seeks an Agronomy IPM Specialist to develop, implement, and monitor integrated pest management strategies across seed production. You will lead pest monitoring, advise on pesticide stewardship, and supervise field operations to optimize seed quality and crop health.

The role emphasizes compliance with EPA and WPS, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ability to work extended hours and travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in agronomy or related field (bachelor's or master's).
• At least 3+ years in agricultural research, seed production, or farming operations.
• Experience with pesticide applications, scouting, and resistance management.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and Power Apps; ability to use field data tools.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends, holidays; valid PR driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IPM strategies combining biological, cultural, mechanical, and chemical methods.
• Supervise seasonal employees in insecticide applications and field tasks.
• Integrate biological controls with agrochemical applications for sustainable production.
• Monitor pest populations via field scouting and data evaluations.
• Ensure pesticide applications meet label requirements and EPA/WPS standards.
• Evaluate treatment performance within 24–48 hours and adjust actions.
