IPI/DISTRIBUTION COORDINATOR
Full Time Linden, NJ, US
Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually
Summary
The IPI Coordinator is responsible for liaising between customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service is provided. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Negotiates exportation rates along domestic LTL freight rates.
- Liaison between customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service is provided
- Accurately track and trace cargo
- Maintain excellent relationships with multiple freight forwarders
- Maintain standard operating procedures and customer profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routings/services/carriers
- Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor.
- Tracking of freight and processing invoices whilst providing excellent customer service
- Process data through the Company system and submit shipping information to various government agencies as required
- Check shipments in the Warehouse as needed to ensure that the documents correspond
- Track and review shipping status to ensure timely departure and delivery of freight
- Ensure shipments of hazardous materials are checked and processed in accordance with all applicable regulations under the International Ocean Transport Association and Code of Federal Regulations.
- Timely preparation of all required documentation (Letter of credit, Ocean Bill of Lading, Service Report Log, etc.,) for export functions
- Follow-up with tracking and tracing to final destination
- Close shipments and filing
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School or GED equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree is encouraged but not required
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in an office environment
- 2+ years in LTL Trucking position
- 2+ years in the Logistics or Shipping Industry
- Global Supply Chain knowledge helpful
