Job summary

Bombardier Defense seeks an IPDT Leader in Wichita, KS, to lead the development program from strategy to delivery, align cross-functional teams, manage budgets and risks, and ensure certification readiness for civil and military programs.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in aerospace engineering leadership, a bachelor’s in engineering, and strong program management skills. This role offers a path within Bombardier's Defense organization in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience with engineering technical leadership in aerospace/defense.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering ( Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace ) or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of program/project scheduling and change management processes.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development program from definition to delivery to customers.
• Oversee integration of technical, operations, financial, suppliers, options and schedules.
• Manage the development program budget, forecast, and monthly actuals.
• Oversee risk management and issue resolution for assigned projects.
• Assist with annual product plan and defense program initiatives.
• Lead product change management, options management, mockups, simulators, and EV targets.
• Ensure compliance with civil/military certification processes (e.g., 14 CFR Part 25).
