White & Case LLP in the United States seeks a Technical Advisor within its Intellectual Property practice to provide expert guidance on patent, trade secret, copyright and other complex technology-related disputes. You will analyze software and digital content issues and collaborate with Litigation and IP partners.

Responsibilities include in-depth research, data management, and supporting innovative problem-solving while fostering continuous learning and regulatory compliance across matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• PhD or Master’s in CS/EE/ME is preferred for advanced positions.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional advice with a focus on patent, trade secret, copyright and other complex technology-related disputes involving software, algorithms and digital content
• Liaises with Litigation and Intellectual Property partners and associates to address complex issues and challenges
• Conducts in-depth research and analysis on prevalent issues within an area of specialism, providing insights on client matters
• Maintains client and case files, facilitating efficient data management and ensuring regulatory compliance
• May assist in scoping and project management to ensure timely and effective delivery of specialist advisory services
• Promotes a culture of continuous learning within the team, leading by example in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of specialist advisories and regulatory changes
• Providing professional support to the development of innovative solutions to complex problems and operational challenges
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently conduct detailed analysis, investigate issues and identify solutions, seeking guidance only on atypical or complex issues
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with team members and occasionally external stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree and PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
