CoxHealth is seeking a Speech-language pathologist for the Acute Therapy South unit, engaging in fast-paced care across ICU and medical-surgical floors. You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages, post-trauma or acute events, and collaborate with specialty teams to optimize swallowing and communication outcomes.
Applicants must have a Master’s in Speech Pathology, MO licensure, and at least 5 years of related experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Summary A Speech-language pathologist (SLP) evaluates and treats patients in the acute medical setting. The speech pathologist provides services to patients of all ages as ordered immediately post trauma, surgery, acute medical event or exacerbation. Speech pathologists assist patients to reach their highest level of function in the areas of communication and swallowing. The SLP makes recommendations for the next level of care and also provides education and to patients and their families. Speech pathologists participate in specialty teams including pediatric, neonatal care, assistive technology, and endoscopic voice/swallowing assessments.
