SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join the Acute Therapy team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri.

The role supports patients across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings with a collaborative, education-focused approach. The department emphasizes individualized, evidence-based care and professional growth within a community hospital environment, offering generous benefits and ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility).
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA required.
• BLS certification current or within 90 days of employment.
• Minimum of one year in acute care or inpatient rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop/modify individualized treatment plans per physician orders.
• Provide speech-language pathology services and oversee delegation of care per standards.
• Design functional treatment programs for safe discharge and home reintegration.
• Educate patients, families, students, and team members; engage in ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to program development, quality initiatives, and patient care excellence.

SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA to join our Acute Therapy team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri.

As the leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitation services in the St. Louis region, SSM Health Rehabilitation Network delivers specialized care and advanced treatment programs that help individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, amputation, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma, and other complex medical conditions maximize function and quality of life.

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis is a two-time recipient of the Premier Award for Quality and is centrally located in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The hospital is recognized for delivering exceptional patient care and serves as a Level II STEMI Center. St. Mary's is nationally known for its high-risk pregnancy and fetal surgery programs and offers comprehensive specialty services, including a certified stroke center, chest pain center, advanced imaging, and outpatient services.

The Speech-Language Pathology Department operates within a regional staffing model, requiring clinicians to maintain competency and flexibility across both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
• Provide discipline-specific speech-language pathology services and oversee appropriate delegation of care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Design and implement functional treatment programs that support safe discharge planning and successful reintegration into home and community environments.
• Educate patients, families, students, and interdisciplinary team members while actively participating in ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to program development, quality initiatives, and other professional activities that support excellence in patient care and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license, or eligibility for licensure, required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or completion within 90 days of employment, required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred; candidates with prior experience within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network as a student clinician are encouraged to apply.
• FEES and/or MBSImP training or certification preferred.
