Job summary

Meta seeks an attorney with deep experience in online intellectual property issues to serve as Associate General Counsel, IP Product. You will tackle cutting-edge IP issues on a global scale across Meta’s apps, products, and services, including AI, Reality Labs, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

You will counsel and collaborate with product, engineering, policy, operations, and other business teams, and coordinate with outside counsel to address IP risks for evolving

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and state bar membership in good standing.
• 5+ years of in‑house or law firm IP practice experience.
• Subject matter expertise in IP: copyright, trademark, licensing.
• Knowledge of global intermediary liability: DMCA, CDA, EU directives, DSA.
• Experience advising on AI and new technologies' IP issues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate products and features to manage global IP risks with business focus.
• Advise on direct and secondary liability issues across copyright and trademark.
• Support AI product and Metaverse IP issues across Reality Labs, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, Messenger.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, policy, operations, and legal colleagues.
• Work with global outside counsel on IP matters.
