Job Summary

The IP NOC Engineer will proactively monitor Transmission and IP devices across our network using network monitoring systems, perform first-line troubleshooting and fault isolation, resolve issues when possible, and escalate to higher support levels according to internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Equinix network, providing updates on the status and performance of all network components and capacity services.
• Identify and support initial fault resolution on network issues following company procedures for escalation and management.
• Maintain compliance with all NOC processes and procedures.
• Document all network events thoroughly during shifts or operations.
• Respond to support calls and interface with internal/external customers regarding operational issues and network events, following standard procedures.
• Generate daily and weekly reports on network activities, escalations, and KPIs, ensuring SLAs are met.

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in configuring, operating, and maintaining optical fiber SDH and wireless network equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) technology.
• Knowledge of DWDM/OTN technology.
• Knowledge of PtP/PtMP Microwave technologies.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP configurations and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to operate OTDR, E-Analyzer, SDH Analyzer, power meters, and other testing tools.
• Experience with Huawei OSN series equipment, Ubiquiti or Ceragon radios, and IP devices is advantageous.
