Illapa Search seeks a seasoned IP Litigation Partner to join a premier national law firm’s Washington, DC IP practice. The role targets partners with a proven patent-litigation track record and a portable book of business, capable of expanding client relationships across technology sectors.

Ideal candidates will have strong technical fluency (EE/CS or related field) and a substantial DC-based practice, with the drive to contribute to a growing platform and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Significant partner-level experience in IP litigation, with emphasis on patent litigation.
• Active DC Bar.
• Demonstrated success handling sophisticated, high-stakes IP disputes.
• Experience representing technology companies or sophisticated commercial clients.
• Portable or developing book of business and ability to originate and expand client relationships.
• Strong technical fluency; undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline preferred.
