Job summary

Talent Focus has been retained by a high‑profile law firm to recruit an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal for its Washington, DC office. You will support nationally recognized attorneys on patent litigation matters involving cutting‑edge technologies and high‑profile clients, playing a key role throughout the litigation lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved programme preferred) and 4+ years of patent litigation support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved programme preferred).
• 4+ years' experience supporting complex patent litigation matters within a law firm.
• Experience with Federal Circuit and U.S. District Court filings.
• ITC litigation experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex patent litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
• Coordinate case files, litigation calendars, deadlines and court filings.
• Support discovery, document review, production and e‑discovery workflows.
• Draft, proofread and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs and PTAB filings.
• Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, Lexis, PACER, Docket Navigator and USPTO resources.
• Perform cite checking, Bluebooking and prepare Tables of Authorities.
• Assist with Federal Circuit, U.S. District Court and PTAB filings, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
• Prepare trial exhibits, witness binders, deposition materials and provide on‑site trial support.
