Job summary

Polsinelli PC is seeking an experienced marketing and business development professional to support the Intellectual Property, Life Sciences and Technology practice groups in the Washington, DC area. You will collaborate with department leadership to deepen client relationships, raise market visibility, and drive firm growth.

The role requires 4+ years in legal or professional services marketing/BD, strong PM and communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of marketing and/or business development in a legal or professional services setting.
• Experience supporting IP, Life Sciences, Technology, or related practices encouraged.
• Must be proactive, professional, and able to translate market trends into opportunities.
• Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of practice groups, attorneys, clients, and markets to expand relationships and brand visibility.
• Support business development initiatives, programs, events, and pitches with the Senior Department Marketing Manager.
• Assist with RFPs, pitch responses, and proposal materials; maintain proposal trackers.
• Leverage firm data for client targeting, experience identification, and opportunity analysis.
• Ensure marketing content is accurate and up to date across websites, bios, and materials.
• Coordinate internal and client-facing events, budgets, and logistics with events team.
• Draft external submissions for rankings and directories (Chambers, IAM, etc.).
• Develop reports on activity and engagement to guide leadership decisions.
• Collaborate with the Research & Intelligence team for market insights and trends.
