Job summary

Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP seeks an IP Docketing Clerk for its Toledo, Ohio office. This hourly, non-exempt, full-time role may offer remote flexibility for the right candidate. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IP docketing experience and proficiency with Anaqua PATTSY Wave.

You will manage deadlines for patents, trademarks, copyrights and related filings, coordinate with foreign agents, and generate regular IP reports. Strong MS Office skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of IP docketing experience.
• Proficiency with Anaqua PATTSY Wave and USPTO/ IP process knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update IP docketing systems and deadlines.
• Input, calculate, and track deadlines for patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related filings.
• Coordinate with foreign agents and clients on filing deadlines and file transfers.
• Monitor USPTO correspondence and ensure timely docketing.
• Produce docket reports for clients and attorneys.
• Use USPTO PAIR, TSDR, WIPO and related databases for status checks.
• Process daily patent correspondence and client reporting.
• Coordinate with accounts payable for invoices.
