Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an experienced Low Voltage Security Installation Technician to support multi-site IP-based surveillance deployments in and around Dickson, TN. You will install cameras, NVRs, low-voltage cabling, and related network equipment, ensuring devices are tested and commissioned per spec.

Responsibilities include mounting cameras, running cabling, configuring IP devices, and validating network connectivity.

Qualifications

Proven experience installing and configuring IP-based video surveillance systems.
Experience with CCTV installations and camera commissioning.
Knowledge of NVR setup and network connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience with structured cabling and Cat5e/Cat6 terminations.
Ability to read and update floor plans, site drawings, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Install and mount interior and exterior IP surveillance cameras.
Install conduit and supporting infrastructure according to industry standards.
Run, terminate, test, and label network and low-voltage cabling.
Configure and commission IP cameras, NVRs, and associated network devices.
Establish and verify network connectivity between surveillance devices and recording systems.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance checks.
Maintain accurate documentation, including cable labeling, device inventories, and site maps.
Ensure installations comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, site personnel, and fellow technicians to resolve field issues and maintain project schedules.
Provide detailed project updates and completion documentation.
