Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking experienced Traveling Cable / Low‑Voltage Technicians to support a nationwide security camera rollout. You will be responsible for the installation, cabling, testing, and validation of IP cameras, requiring extensive travel. The role offers competitive pay of $23–$25 per hour and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and PTO. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of IP camera experience and are comfortable working overnight shifts. The position is fully onsite in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with IP cameras, ideally Axis.
• Strong hands-on experience with structured cabling and testing.
• Willingness to travel nationwide 100%.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure IP security cameras nationwide.
• Perform structured cabling and network connectivity testing.
• Document installation deliverables and ensure safety compliance.
