HydraForce, a Bosch Rexroth company, seeks a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the Iowa service territory. You’ll troubleshoot hydraulic systems, perform repairs, and manage RMAs, collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Sales to ensure timely issue resolution.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or 4+ years in a hydraulic/technical setting, strong communication, and willingness to travel within the territory. Base salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or four years of relevant technical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to investigate technical issues and identify root causes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to customers and internal stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to professionally manage technical and quality concerns in a field environment.
• Working knowledge of standard computer applications and ability to learn customer-specific systems and portals.
• Ability to work independently while traveling throughout an assigned service territory.

Responsabilités

• Provide on-site technical support to customers in the assigned territory, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Diagnose hydraulic system and component issues, including leaks and valve malfunctions.
• Repair or replace components to restore proper system operation when feasible.
• Support customers in resolving product quality, warranty, and technical concerns.
• Serve as a key link between customers and HydraForce internal teams with clear communication.
• Initiate and manage RMAs, documenting failure modes and technical information.
• Lead or support structured problem-solving and root cause analysis using 8D methodology.
• Understand and communicate customer-specific quality requirements.
• Support product returns and RGA reporting for customer line rejects with root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Manufacturing, and other teams for timely resolutions.
• Identify warranty trends and support efforts to reduce repeat failures.
• Participate in design or product improvements related to warranty and field performance.
• Partner with customers and HydraForce Sales on warranty agreements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
