Job Overview:

The IoT/Telco Operations Specialist will play a vital internal role supporting Tactacam’s Telco/IoT, IT, Engineering, Customer Care, and Operations teams. This position is responsible for managing carrier vendor relationships, monitoring data usage and costs, supporting outage incident resolution, and optimizing internal processes tied to SIM operations and carrier billing. You will be the subject matter expert for anything related to SIM operations, carrier portals, and telco data reporting.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the internal point of contact for carrier billing, usage reports, SIM operations, and outage incident management.

Manage and reconcile carrier billing (usage, activation/deactivation) against internal records.

Build, track, and analyze data using carrier portals such as Verizon ThingSpace, AT&T Control Center, and others.

Conduct carrier rate plan analysis and provide recommendations to optimize cost savings.

Oversee and improve SIM management processes with carrier vendors and internal teams.

Act as the SME and lead for any carrier-related incidents, including root cause analysis, communication, and escalation tracking.

Support IT and Product Development teams by generating and analyzing customer data usage reports.

Compile usage data to inform product development and customer experience enhancements.

Recommend new methods and tools to improve internal reporting, cost management, and SIM operations efficiency.

Present findings, trends, and process improvements through clear reports and presentations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Experience with SIM operations, carrier management portals (e.g., APIs, Verizon ThingSpace, AT&T Control Center).

Strong data analysis and reporting skills with a proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with subscription-based business models and recurring usage billing.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage projects that impact multiple departments.

Comfortable communicating technical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Detail-oriented and process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.

Entry to mid-level experience; ideal for candidates with 2–5 years in IoT, telecom operations, or data analysis roles.

Willingness to travel up to 10%.
