Job Overview:

The IoT/Telco Operations Specialist will support Tactacam’s Telco/IoT, IT, Engineering, Customer Care, and Operations teams. Responsibilities include managing carrier vendor relationships, monitoring data usage and costs, supporting outage incident resolution, and optimizing processes related to SIM operations and carrier billing. You will be the subject matter expert for SIM operations, carrier portals, and telco data reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the internal point of contact for carrier billing, usage reports, SIM operations, and outage incident management.
  • Manage and reconcile carrier billing (usage, activation/deactivation) against internal records.
  • Build, track, and analyze data using carrier portals such as Verizon ThingSpace, AT&T Control Center, and others.
  • Conduct carrier rate plan analysis and recommend cost-saving strategies.
  • Oversee and improve SIM management processes with vendors and internal teams.
  • Lead carrier-related incident investigations, root cause analysis, communication, and escalation.
  • Support IT and Product teams by generating and analyzing customer data usage reports.
  • Use data to inform product development and enhance customer experience.
  • Propose new methods and tools to improve reporting, cost management, and SIM operations.
  • Present findings, trends, and process improvements clearly through reports and presentations.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience with SIM operations and carrier management portals (e.g., APIs, Verizon ThingSpace, AT&T Control Center).
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based business models and recurring billing.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and manage projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Entry to mid-level experience (2–5 years) in IoT, telecom operations, or data analysis roles.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
