Job summary

MAHLE in Dayton, OH is seeking a Digitalization Controls Engineer to lead manufacturing digitalization projects end-to-end, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high internal client satisfaction.

You will establish project governance, guide IoT/I4.0 initiatives across plants, perform ROI and KPI analyses, and collaborate with Head of MPS Industry 4.0, PLC Solution Designer, and local experts to advance MAHLE's digital strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 9
• 5 years manufacturing experience in automotive/mechatronic industries.
• Experience with AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles).
• Proficiency with PLC systems (Siemens, KUKA, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley).
• Proficiency with machine protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT, Profibus/Profinet).
• Experience with SAP UI5 and HTML5.
• Experience with PLC data interfaces used by Remote Service, MES, Traceability, Quality, Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage project governance for successful delivery.
• Advise and support plants in IoT and I4.0 digitalization.
• Provide ROI calculations and KPI selection for projects.
• Work with Head of MPS Industry 4.0, PLC Solution Designer, and local experts.
• Drive strategy and communication for I4.0 and Industrial IoT at MAHLE.
