Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Digitalization & Controls Project Engineer to lead the integration of advanced automation across our North American manufacturing footprint. You will manage multi-million dollar capital projects, from technical scoping to handover, bridging plant-floor controls with modern Factory IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years' experience in a comparable technical position or 10+ controls experience in food/beverage.
• Knowledge of LV electrical systems, instrumentation, PLCs, and HMI/SCADA (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Knowledge of MES/MOM platforms, Factory IT Systems, and cybersecurity is a plus.
• Demonstrated success managing capital projects (scheduling, budgeting).

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and select digitalization and automation technologies with stakeholders.
• Deliver multiple capital projects from scoping to project closure.
• Oversee integration of digitalization and automation systems within existing manufacturing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with controls and IT/automation engineers to tailor solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and quality guidelines.
• Identify and manage project risks and drive issue resolution.
• Facilitate handover to operations and knowledge transfer.
• Maintain clear stakeholder communication on milestones and status.
• Manage budgets and resources to meet targets.
• Provide training and support to end-users.
