Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Engineering Manager, Embedded Firmware & Electrical Engineering (IoT Connectivity) at our Brookfield, Wisconsin headquarters. You will lead a world-class team building connected products, defining device-to-cloud protocols, and shaping the connectivity strategy across hardware, firmware, and cloud interfaces.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years embedded systems with IoT devices.
• 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience with FCC/IC/CE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and motivate a world-class team of embedded firmware and electrical engineers to deliver new-to-world connected products.
• Own the connectivity architecture for Milwaukee Tool devices, including BLE, Wi-Fi, cellular, and other wireless protocols.
• Lead end-to-end design of embedded IoT devices from concept to production and transition to manufacturing.
• Define IoT firmware strategy including RTOS/Linux platforms, OTA updates, and device provisioning.
• Drive device security and regulatory certification (FCC, IC, CE/RED, Bluetooth SIG).
• Partner with cloud/mobile teams to define device-to-cloud protocols and diagnostics.
• Grow the team and develop talent while maintaining project accountability and schedules.
