Job summary

Substack is seeking an iOS Engineer to lead Sponsorship experiences in our core iOS app. You will build features for creators and their audiences, shipping high-quality native apps and shaping sponsorship experiences from idea to release.

You will collaborate with design, growth, and partnerships teams, owning the development of sponsorship flows. A focus on product-minded engineering, rapid iteration, and customer empathy is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping high-quality native iOS apps to the App Store. Bonus for SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Independent and autonomous; able to own projects and lead.
• Strong on production systems quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and existing sponsorship experiences in the core iOS app for creators and their audiences.
• Contribute to high level product discussions around sponsorship experiences.
• Iterate on key flows in Substack mobile apps and web platform, and run A/B tests.
• Collaborate with designers, writers, support staff, and others from concept to implementation and measurement.
• Work directly with customers and Sponsorship partners to gather ideas and deliver solutions.
