Substack is building a new economic engine for culture by empowering creators with direct connections to their audiences. Our Sponsorships team develops features to connect brands with Substack creators while preserving user trust and writer experience.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll work across the stack with TypeScript, Node/Express, React, and Postgres. We value autonomy, ownership, collaboration, and product-minded thinking in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Independent and autonomous; ownership of work and leadership capabilities.
• High standard for production systems and reliable delivery.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse team across roles.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend and backend features that enable sponsorship opportunities for creators.
• Collaborate with designers, writers, support staff, and others; own your work end-to-end.
• Work with TypeScript, Node/Express, React, and Postgres; learn new tech as needed.
