Job summary

The Intensive Outpatient Therapist at Bloomington Meadows Hospital, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), provides evidence-based assessments and therapy to adults and youth within a multidisciplinary team.

You will conduct psycho-social assessments, lead family and group therapy, assist in discharge planning, document per hospital policy, coordinate community resources, participate in marketing activities, maintain a safe environment, apply sound clinical judgment, and pursue ongoing

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related mental health field required.
• Two years of psychiatric facility experience; strong clinical assessment skills and experience in family/group therapies and crisis intervention.
• License: state license within two years of employment and active pursuit of licensure in social work or clinical related mental health field.
• CPR certification and HANDLE WITH CARE training within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

License: Therapists ideally will possess a state license within two years of employment and must be actively seeking license in social work or clinical related mental health field.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and HANDLE WITH CARE training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
