Job summary

Bloomington Meadows Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing operations in a dynamic hospital setting. The role partners with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager to ensure quality patient care, staff management, and adherence to policy across shifts.

The ideal candidate will bring an Indiana nursing license, 3+ years in psychiatric or related settings, CPR/First Aid, and crisis intervention training, with medication

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric hospital settings or related professional setting.
• Currently licensed to practice by the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Must have a valid driver's license.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification, non-violent physical crisis intervention completion & appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
• Must pass a medication administration exam.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Supervisor is a registered professional nurse who shares delegated responsibility and accountability with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager in all matters related to programmatic issues, unit staff, patient management and care, and daily FTE's.
• Assists Director of Nursing with compliance to hospital policy and procedures.
• Acts as the primary receiver of inquiry calls during assigned shifts.

Education
