Job summary

Bloomington Meadows Hospital is seeking an Intensive Outpatient Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Bloomington, IN. You will conduct psycho-social assessments, lead family and group therapies, and coordinate discharge planning to support patient recovery.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, with licensure progress within two years, plus CPR and HANDLE WITH CARE training.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related mental health field.
• Two years of experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
• Active pursuit of state licensure in social work or a clinical mental health field within two years.
• CPR certification and HANDLE WITH CARE training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain psycho-social assessments.
• Conduct family and group therapy on assigned cases.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Complete documentation per hospital policy and procedure.
• Coordinate discharge planning.
• Assist in developing and maintaining community resource information.
• Perform marketing functions as assigned.

The Intensive Outpatient Therapist is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

License: Therapists ideally will possess a state license within two years of employment and must be actively seeking license in social work or clinical related mental health field.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and HANDLE WITH CARE training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
