Job summary

Awkward Recovery in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Clinician to deliver individual, family, and group therapy within our Intensive Outpatient Program. You will assess clients, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves maintaining a caseload up to 14 clients, leading 9 hours of weekly evening group therapy (6–9 PM Mon/Tue/Thu), and ensuring thorough documentation and coordination of discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a behavioral health field.
• Texas licensure as a fully licensed or associate level LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LCDC pursuing a master’s-level clinical license.
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation.
• Experience in behavioral health, preferably substance use/mental health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain a caseload of up to 14 clients across mental health and substance use.
• Lead 9 hours of evening group therapy weekly (Mon/Tue/Thu 6:00–9:00 PM).
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation, assessments, and billing.
• Coordinate discharge and continuing care plans with clients and families.
• Educate clients and families on recovery and resources.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Respond to crises following safety and documentation procedures.
