Job summary

American Airlines in Fort Worth is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Integrated Operations dispatch team in the IOC, guiding a large workforce during scheduled and irregular operations. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders, drive reliability, safety, and on-time performance, and represent the operation in daily decision-making.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in technical or airport operations, strong communication, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent training/experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience leading large teams in Technical Operations or Integrated Operations.
• Subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing with verification of prior violations.

Responsibilities

• Leads and serves a large and complex organization through coordination with multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Monitors potential disruptions to airline operations from weather, maintenance, ATC, fuel, security, or labor issues.
• Establishes strategy and objectives for irregular operations and ensures alignment with the operating plan.
• Ensures compliance with governmental requirements (OSHA, TSA, FAA, DOT) through procedures.
• Advocates for passenger protections under DOT rules and regulations.
• Seeks continuous improvement to reduce costs, improve efficiency and customer service.
• Cultivates collaborative relationships across workgroups and with unions.
• Maintains open communication with all levels of union leadership.
