Investor Relations Associate

Location: New York, NY (In-Person, 5 Days/Week)

Experience Level: Mid-Level (2-3 Years)

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000

Position Overview

A leading middle-market private equity firm focused on the healthcare sector is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investor Relations Associate to join its Investor Relations team in New York. This is a high-impact, mid-level role ideal for candidates with 2–3 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, private equity, or other technical finance roles.

The Associate will play a key role in supporting fundraising initiatives, managing investor communications, and driving strategic projects across the firm. This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team at a pivotal time as the firm prepares for its next fundraise. Investor Communications & Reporting

  • Draft and refine investor materials including quarterly reports, investor letters, and fund performance updates.
  • Respond to investor inquiries with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Prepare materials for Annual Meetings, AGMs, and ad hoc LP meetings.

Fundraising & Marketing Support

  • Assist in the preparation of fundraising materials including PPMs, DDQs, pitch decks, and case studies.
  • Support the execution of fundraising campaigns, including investor targeting, outreach, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with placement agents and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on messaging and timelines.

CRM & Data Management

  • Maintain and enhance the investor CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Track investor interactions, meeting notes, and follow-ups to support relationship management.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Organize and manage logistics for investor meetings, roadshows, and firm-hosted events.
  • Prepare briefing materials and coordinate internal and external participants.

Strategic Projects

  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives related to process improvement, data analytics, and investor engagement.
  • Monitor industry trends and peer activity to inform IR strategy and positioning.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 2–3 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, private equity, or a related technical finance role.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamo) is a plus.
  • Demonstrate interest in healthcare and private markets is preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high standards.
