CBRE's New York Investment Properties – Institutional Group seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support valuations of office, retail, and multifamily properties. You will underwrite assets using ARGUS AE and Excel, and deliver detailed financial analyses for senior executives.

Responsibilities include reviewing leases and operating statements, building cash flow models, and preparing client-ready presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

About The Role

CBRE’s New York Investment Properties – Institutional Group is seeking highly qualified and exceptionally motivated candidates for a Senior Financial Analyst role. Working with senior executives and leaders in their field, this position offers the opportunity to be part of a team that regularly handles high profile sales transactions for suburban New York’s most prestigious office, retail and multifamily properties.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with senior team members to provide valuations of commercial properties and underwrite assets using ARGUS AE and Excel platforms.
• Perform detailed financial analysis and modeling, including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses with minimal supervision.
• Review, analyze, abstract and interpret various real estate documentation, including leases, operating statements, business plans, PCA/Phase I Reports, zoning studies, etc.
• Review complex financial data to understand trends in the market, occupancy rates, and rental prices.
• Gather, track and maintain critical financial data points for research, marketing and negotiation purposes.
• Use AI tools to accelerate market research, underwriting support, and document review. Additionally, use AI to build and refine repeatable prompts for recurring outputs such as market updates, pipelines, lease review and more.
• Maintain organized due diligence files and provide updates, follow up and explanations to senior team members.
• Develop and prepare sophisticated and tailored client presentations and deliverables, including pitches, BOVs, market roadshows and offering memorandums.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Argus AE, AI programs such as Claude or Copilot, and Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $100,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
