Tamar Securities is seeking an Investment Operations & Trading Systems Analyst to support the firm's trading and investment operations, with a primary focus on Envestnet Tamarac. The ideal candidate understands portfolio management and trading systems, enjoys maintaining clean and reliable investment data, and can translate the trading team's objectives into effective system settings, reports, and workflows.

The role will serve as an internal resource for Tamarac Trading and Reporting. Direct Tamarac experience is strongly preferred, although candidates with hands-on experience using comparable wealth management, portfolio management, rebalancing, or performance reporting platforms will also be considered.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Serve as a primary internal resource for Tamarac Trading and Reporting, developing a detailed understanding of the platform's functionality, settings, and most efficient workflows.
• Maintain accurate account, strategy, model, security, and performance data, including model assignments, effective dates, security classifications, and other investment-related information.
• Translate trading and portfolio management objectives into system configurations, including model targets, rebalancing parameters, minimum trade sizes, cash requirements, tax-sensitive settings, account restrictions, and other portfolio-specific rules.
• Work closely with the Head of Trading to improve how recommended trades, new-account investment, cash deployment, and recurring rebalances reflect the firm's intended investment methodology.
• Create and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports that allow the trading and investment teams to quickly identify accounts, households, securities, allocations, transactions, performance, and other portfolio information.
• Use Excel to organize, analyze, validate, and present investment data when additional analysis or reporting is needed.
• Identify and resolve data-quality or system-configuration issues and work with Tamarac or other technology vendors when necessary.
• Evaluate Tamarac’s existing capabilities and, where the platform cannot accommodate a required trading or operational workflow, develop efficient and repeatable processes or workarounds to address the limitation.
• Document important system settings and workflows and identify opportunities to make trading and investment operations more efficient, consistent, and scalable.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using Envestnet Tamarac Trading and Reporting or a comparable portfolio management, trading, rebalancing, or performance reporting platform.
• Experience configuring investment allocation models and rebalancing rules.
• Prior experience in wealth management, an RIA, asset management, trading operations, portfolio operations, or a related investment environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial and multi-account datasets.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an interest in maintaining accurate and well-structured investment data.
• Ability to understand a trading or investment objective and determine how to implement it within a portfolio management system.
• Genuine interest in investing, portfolio management, and financial markets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Progress toward the CFA designation or another demonstrated interest in investment management.
• Experience with Power Query, SQL, Python, APIs, or other automation tools is helpful but not required.
