Job Overview – Investment Operations Associate:Compensation: $125,000 – $160,000/year + bonusLocation: New York, NYSchedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)Take on a key role with our client as an Investment Operations Associate in New York, NY (Hybrid), managing daily investment operations for a multi-strategy hedge fund. In this role, you will oversee cash and position reconciliations, resolve trade breaks, enhance reporting processes, and collaborate with trading teams, prime brokers, and custodians. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operations professionals with hedge fund or buy-side backgrounds, with experience in Enfusion, Lightkeeper, or similar platforms.
Responsibilities as the Investment Operations Associate:- Reconciliation & Data Integrity: Manage daily reconciliation of cash balances and portfolio positions, ensuring data accuracy across internal systems and third-party platforms.
- Support & Issue Resolution: Coordinate with trading teams, prime brokers, custodians, and brokers to resolve trade breaks, position discrepancies, and corporate action reporting.
- Operational Reporting: Provide investment teams with operational insights and reporting to enhance decision-making.
- Strategic Projects & Improvement: Drive firm-wide initiatives (EMS migrations, reporting enhancements) and identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Collaboration: Partner with leadership and investment professionals to support evolving operational needs and maintain robust infrastructure.
Qualifications for the Investment Operations Associate:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Experience: 4-8 years of operations or middle-office experience within a hedge fund, buy-side, or multi-strategy investment environment.
- Technical Skills:Advanced Excel skills required, with proficiency in Enfusion or Lightkeeper preferred, and knowledge of additional fund operations platforms preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; highly collaborative and solutions-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic investment environment.
