Job summary

HarbourVest is seeking an Evergreen Portfolio Management Investment Data Associate to handle data universe development and maintenance. You will work with portfolio managers, capital markets, and senior investment staff to translate insights into strategic actions within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications include 2+ years in data/engineering or quantitative investing, proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in engineering, data science, or a quantitative investment environment.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and data analysis to support system design and testing.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
• Experience with large, complex structured and unstructured data sets and data quality validation.
• Strong ability to distill data into actionable conclusions and present to senior investment professionals.
• Experience in investment management, private markets, or FinTech is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of business analyst experience in relevant industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Evergreen Portfolio Management and HarbourVest’s investment data lake.
• Generate analytical insights to advise liquidity planning, portfolio construction, and performance optimization.
• Develop data-driven recommendations to improve decision making for evergreen strategies.
• Maintain regular communication with portfolio managers and senior investment professionals.
• Collaborate with Quantitative Investment Sciences to deepen modeling capabilities.
• Create and maintain dashboards transforming complex data into actionable views for portfolio management.
• Produce materials supporting fundraising, client engagement, and firm inquiries.
