Job summary

HarbourVest is seeking an experienced valuation professional to join its Evergreen Valuations team in Boston. You will play a key role in daily valuation of evergreen fund investments, including private equity, venture capital, private credit, and related structures.

The role involves collaborating with Fund Accounting, Investment Teams, Portfolio Analytics, Treasury and Operations to ensure valuations are supported, documented and reviewed, with strong controls and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting investment valuation and related private markets work.
• Understanding of private market investment structures and valuation approaches.
• Proficiency in data analysis and financial modelling in Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily valuation activities for investments in HarbourVest’s evergreen funds.
• Assess portfolio activity and market developments affecting values (capital calls, distributions, new investments, realizations, FX, etc.).
• Review daily valuation movements and ensure changes align with activity, market conditions and performance.
• Maintain valuation documentation, methodologies, judgments, and controls for the NAV process.
• Coordinate with Fund Accounting, Investment Teams, Portfolio Analytics, Treasury, Operations, and Risk to resolve valuation issues and reporting.
