Job summary

Nationwide seeks an experienced Investment Professional Quantitative Analyst to translate complex investment questions into reusable quantitative analyses, dashboards, and decision-support tools across asset classes. You will help shape asset allocation, portfolio construction, and trading strategies while advancing automation and AI-enabled processes.

The role reports to the leader of Investment Analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related quantitative field preferred.
Advanced degree and/or CFA preferred.
Eight+ years’ investment or quantitative experience supporting portfolio management, research, trading, or analytics.

Responsibilities

Shape and test investment ideas by building and maintaining analytic views, signals, and tools.
Support security selection and trade design through fair-value, relative-value, scenario, and contribution analysis.
Develop dashboards and standard analytics packs to evaluate diversification, concentration, and performance vs. expectations.
Conduct quantitative research on portfolio construction, asset allocation, and strategy questions.
Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate research while ensuring transparency and governance.
