Job summary

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced Manager – Investment Accounting to lead a team handling accounting, margining and reporting for a large investment portfolio, including private alternatives. The role partners with Investment Operations to ensure accurate reporting and timely close.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA preferred.
7+ years of experience in Accounting, Operations, or Investment Performance with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
CPA license required; additional certifications strongly preferred (CIPM, CTP, CAIA, CFA).
Month-end and Year-end close experience with high-quality standards and deadlines.
Derivative Margining experience strongly preferred.
Must comply with OPERS Personal Trading Policy.

Responsibilities

Lead a team performing accounting, margining and reporting for a large and complex investment portfolio.
Oversee cash settlement, margining and financial reporting including period-end close.
Collaborate with Manager – Investment Operations to resolve issues impacting investment reporting.
